Officials of Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina have signed a meeting minutes about establishing a joint gas pipeline and electricity grids among certain South American countries, said a report released by the Venezuelan Petroleum Company on Wednesday.
The document was inked on Monday by Venezuela's energy and oil minister Rafael Ramirez, Brazil's energy minister, and an Argentine delegate, said the report.
The officials of the three countries, the three biggest economies in South America, discussed the building of a gas pipeline first connecting Venezuela and Brazil, then extending into Uruguay and Argentine, it said.
The officials also mulled over joint electric grids between Venezuela and Brazil.
The summary suggested related countries sign two memorandums on building the joint gas pipeline and electricity grids.
The memorandums are expected to be signed at the summit of the Common Market of the South held from Thursday to Friday in Montevideo, capital of Uruguay.
