China's trade volume of high-tech products totaled 328.8 billion US dollars in the first 10 months of 2005, a year-on-year increase of 26.8 percent, the latest figures from customs show.

The growth was 2.8 percentage points higher than that of the country's foreign trade.

In the Jan.-Oct. period, the imports rose by 20.3 percent to 157.5billion dollars, and the exports grew by 33.5 percent to 171.3 billion dollars, statistics show.

In October alone, the import and export volume of high-tech products came to 39.1 billion dollars, with the import volume standing at 17.9 billion dollars, and the export volume, 21.2 billion dollars.

In the first 10 months, electronic products, computers and telecommunication products are among the top three high-tech products with the largest amount of import volume.
