Israeli tank fire kills Palestinian

Israeli tanks, stationing at the Israeli border on the tip of southern Gaza Strip, on Tuesday shot and killed a Palestinian man, Palestinian medical sources said.

Mohammed al-Farra, a farmer in his forties, was killed as he was farming in Abbasan village near the border.

Moaweya Hasaneen, chief of emergency in the Ministry of Public Health, said al-Farra was killed after he was shot in the head.

Palestinian witnesses said that al-Farra was farming on field 500 meters away from the border line.

Following an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in September, Israeli tanks stationing at the border line haved continued attacks on Palestinian citizens and farmers, witnesses said.
