Chinese top political advisor Jia Qinglin said in Beijing Thursday that China highly values its ties with Kyrgyzstan and will make more efforts to boost China-Kyrgyzstan good-neighborly friendship and cooperation.

"To develop the China-Kyrgyzstan cooperative relations is an established policy of China," Jia said in a meeting with Alikbek Jekshenkulov, foreign minister of Kyrgyzstan.

Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said that China-Kyrgyzstan ties have developed smoothly and produced remarkable results over the past 14 years.

He said China and Kyrgyzstan have settled border disputes, which have laid a solid legal foundation for friendly ties

He also expressed his delight with the effective cooperation between the two countries in the economic and trade areas.

"We have also maintained close cooperation in the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and made contributions to world peace and stability," Jia said.

Jia expressed China's appreciation for Kyrgyzstan's firm support for China on the issues including Taiwan, Tibet and the fight against the East Turkistan pro-independence groups.

"China will, as always, support Kyrgyzstan's efforts of maintaining national independence, sovereignty and stability," Jia said.

He said he hoped the two countries will take concrete measures to implement the agreement reached between the leaders of the two countries and explore more cooperative channels.

Jekshenkulov said his country will strictly abide by the Kyrgyzstan-China good-neighborly friendly and cooperative treaty to enhance pragmatic cooperation with China.

He said Kyrgyzstan will firmly adhere to the one-China policy and will join efforts with China to fight against the three evil forces -- terrorism, separatism and extremism to safeguard regional peace and stability.
