Sino-African cooperation beneficial to both sides, Tanzanian ambassador
font size

Cooperation between China and Africa is mutually beneficial, Tanzanian Ambassador to China Charles Sanga said in Beijing Tuesday.

Sanga said investment opportunities abound everywhere in Africa. Resources have not yet been fully exploited. China and Africa can enhance cooperation in resource exploitation, infrastructure construction and fishery development.

There are "endlessly valuable" opportunities for Chinese entrepreneurs, he added.

Tourism is the second largest foreign exchange earner in East Africa, Sanga said.

"We would like to see Chinese investors construct five star hotels along the beaches of East Africa so as to speed up the region's trade development," the ambassador said.

The Chinese can also invest in Africa's mining, fishing and timbering sectors, Sanga said.

Africa is now in its most difficult phase to struggle against abject poverty, hunger, disease and ignorance, Sanga said.

"Therefore we invite Chinese entrepreneurs to join hands with us to achieve economic and social prosperity," he added.
