Russia's state-owned oil company Rosneft announced Thursday in Moscow that it will export nearly 9 million tons of crude oil to China next year via railroad, nearly doubling the figure of this year.
The company said that related authorities of the Russian Federation agreed in mid Dec. that the company will deliver crude oil to China via railroad at the price of pipeline transportation. Such a policy will help boost the company's exports to China next year.
The company's total supplies to China via railways have equaled 4.4 million tons this year.
The company expects its oil output to reach 74.6 million tons this year, and the figure will increase to 80 million tons next year. Statistics show that Rosneft's production reached 67.7 million tons in the first 11 months of this year, ranking the third in all oil firms of the country, only next to Lukoil and Tyumen Oil Company (TNK-BP).
