font size

A US helicopter targeted a house north of Baghdad, killing five people from one family, a source from Iraqi-US liaison office in Tikrit told Xinhua on Tuesday.

"A US helicopter opened fire at a house in the Baiji town on Monday night, destroying a house and killing five family members, including three women, and wounding three others," the source said.

The attack in Baiji, some 200 km north of Baghdad, also damaged three nearby houses and a civilian car, he added.

The US military had no information about the incident.
