China will conduct its first comprehensive exploration throughout the Great Wall this April on a section that built under Emperor Qin Shihuang (259-210 BC) during the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC), according to China Great Wall Society.
Long questions concerning the concrete location, distribution, communication equipment will be solved one after another.
After the exploration, a complete map of Qin Shihuang's Great Wall will be unveiled. The map will also be shown China's map.
The explorers will set off from west-most end of the wall in Min county in northwest China's Gansu Province, travel six provinces and autonomous regions including Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Hebei and Liaoning. Their destination will be the east-most end wall, known as Liaodong in history.
The program will fill a blank in the studies on Great Wall. It will help expanding research on the Qin Dynasty and the Han Dynasty (206 BC- 220 AD).
