Sharon to undergo new brain scan
font size

Doctors of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon ordered the leader to have another brain scan early Sunday before deciding whether to bring him out of an induced coma, said the hospital officials.

The medical experts gathered Sunday morning to assess Sharon's condition, but suspended the talks after about an hour to take the brain scan, spokesman for Hadassah Hospital Ron Krumer said.

Krumer said earlier Sharon's condition remains critical and there was no change overnight.

"During the night there has been no change in the situation of the prime minister and he remains critical but stable," he said.

Sharon has been under treatment in Hadassah Hospital for a massive stroke since Wednesday.
