World Cup trophy tour to visit Costa Rica in FebruaryThe original soccer World Cup trophy will visit Costa Rica on Feb. 7 and Feb. 8, according to a Tuesday statement by Coca Cola. The tour sends one of the sport's best-known icons to 28 countries and 31 cities on four continents, Andrea Vega, Coca Cola spokesman for Central America, told San Jose media on Tuesday. The tour began on Jan. 7 in Ghana. Among the places the Cup will visit are Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, the United States, Japan, China, South Korea, Nigeria, South Africa and Britain. The last stop is April 10 in Italy. In previous tours, the Cup only visited nations that had won the Cup, while non-winners only received the visit of a replica statuette.
