Seychelles' President James Michel met a visiting delegation of Chinese legislators headed by Ismail Amat, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress in the capital Victoria on Tuesday.

Michel highly appraised the traditional friendship and fruitful cooperation between the two countries, while expressing gratitude to China's longtime support of Seychelles' construction.

He wished that the two countries could explore new fields and channels of cooperation and the friendly relations could be continually consolidated and strengthened.

Ismail Amat also highlighted the favorable cooperation between the two countries in the fields of politics, economy, culture and international issues.
