Sony Ericsson's profits up
font size

Sony Ericsson made net profits of 356 million euros in 2005, rising 12.6 percent over that in 2004, said the mobile maker's financial report issued on Jan. 19.

The report attributed its its better performance to its hit mobile with digital music service. Sony Ericsson China also declared that consumers' favor for music mobiles in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong had pushed Sony Ericsson's sales up to the 4th on the China market from the 21st in 2002, following Nokia, Motorola and Samsung.

Sony Ericsson has the plan to integrate its 64.5 percent stakes in Beijing Suohong Electronics acquired from Sony into its production capability in China from January this year.
