Saudi king concludes China visit
font size

King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz left Beijing on Tuesday afternoon, concluding his first state visit to China.

During the king's stay here, Chinese President Hu Jintao, top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao held talks or met with him respectively. The two heads of state also attended a signing ceremony of bilateral cooperative documents.

It was the first visit of a Saudi king to China since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1990. This was also King Abdullah's first official visit to a foreign country since his enthronement.
