The Beijing Space Flight Control Center (BSCC) announced on Wednesday that up to 3:44 am on December 25, the orbital module of Shenzhou-VI has run properly in outer space for 100 days and circled around the earth 1,653 times. Platform of the orbital module was under normal working condition, various scientific tests proceeded smoothly as scheduled and achieved many results, reports the overseas edition of People's Daily on Thursday.
At 4:27 a.m. on October 17, the orbital module of Shenzhou VI was separated from the re-entry module which returned and landed smoothly on earth as planned. The orbital module will continue to stay in space for planned scientific tests.
The orbital module is scheduled to run in outer space for six months.
