Google launches new domain name for China market
font size

Google formally launched yesterday its new domain name for China market, Google.cn, in an effort to ensure faster speed and better security.

Both users who type in Google.com and Google.com.cn will enter Google.cn. Compared with previous Chinese versions, the new website has no BBS and page directory search, or the newly recommended academic search.

The new platform will put an end to Google's "one-size-fits-all" practice in world scale, facilitate personalized services and sharpen the company's competitive edge on the Chinese search market, experts say.
