Defensor drew Colombia's Independiente de Santa Fe 2-2 thanks to final minutes goals by Nicolas Olivera and Ignacio Ithurralde in the first leg of a preliminary round match of the Copa Libertadores on Friday.

Olivera converted a penalty in the 87th minute and Ithurralde added the equalizer two minutes into injury time.

Nelson Olveira, an Uruguayan playing for the Colombian visitors, gave Santa Fe the lead in the 34th minute with a powerful 35-meter blast and Leader Preceded doubled the advantage in the 81st.
