East China's Zhejiang Province reported a foreign trade volume of 107.4 billion U.S. dollars last year, representing a growth of 26 percent year on year.

The provincial statistics bureau said the total volume included 30.6 billion U.S. dollars of imports and 76.8 billion U.S. dollars of exports, up 13 percent and 32.1 percent respectively.

The province's export growth ranked second among the country's coastal regions, only after the neighboring Jiangsu Province, and was 3.7 percentage points higher than the national average.

The bureau said the export growth was mainly shored up by foreign-funded enterprises and private businesses, which posted an export growth of 38.8 percent and 55.9 percent respectively. They claimed a share of 35.5 percent and 30.3 percent, respectively, of the province's total exports, as against the previous year's share of 33.8 percent and 25.7 percent.
