E. China province invests more overseas

East China's Zhejiang Province invested to establish 435 enterprises overseas last year, an increase of 15.1 percent over the previous year.

According to the provincial bureau of statistics, these overseas enterprises involved a combined investment of 196 million U.S. dollars, including 168 million U.S. dollars injected by the Chinese investors, up 16.7 percent and 10.5 percent respectively year on year.

By the end of 2005, the province had approved the establishment of 2,194 offshore enterprises, ranking first in the country. Among them, 24 were resources exploitation projects, involving 88.67 million U.S. dollars from the Chinese investors.
