River Plate defeated Bolivia's Oriente Petrolero 2-0 away for an 8-0 aggregate win to book a Copa Libertadores berth on Thursday.

The Argentine club will join Ecuador's El Nacional, Brazil's Paulista FC and Paraguay's Libertad in Group Eight of the tournament which begins next week.

Colombia's Independiente Santa Fe drew 0-0 at home with Uruguay's Defensor but qualified by virtue of the away goals rule.
