Palestinian officials required to report before going abroad
font size

The Palestinian National Authority ( PNA) has asked all its officials and employees to officially report their departure for foreign countries before leaving, well- informed Palestinian sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said that the officials intending to leave the Palestinian territories were required to inform the PNA 48 hours ahead of their departure.

The decision was made amid stepped-up efforts by the PNA to fight corruption, according to the sources.

Earlier, Attorney General Ahmed al-Mughani revealed that he was investigating into 50 cases of corruption with more than 700 million U.S. dollars being embezzled or misused.
