The Democratic People's Republic of Korea and South Korea will march together at the opening ceremony of the Turin Winter Olympics, IOC director of communications Giselle Davies confirmed on Wednesday.
"They will march as a unified team, but compete as two seprate teams," Davies told Xinhua.
It will be the first time that the two countries march together during a winter games opening ceremony. Athletes from the two Koreas have marched under one flag at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and in Athens in 2004.
The two nations reached an agreement in principle in Macao last November to form a unified team for the 2008 Games in Beijing.
The Turin Games will open on Friday and run through Feb. 26.
