Defense Minister calls for army building with scientific concept
font size

Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan urged the Chinese army to speed up the pace of army building with a concept of scientific development.

During a recent inspection to the Guangzhou Military Area Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, Cao, also vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, said scientific development is an important guideline for enhancing national defense and army building.

"Efforts must be made to solve key problems in army units to make all their work follow the concept of scientific development," he said.

The army units should always give priority to political and ideological education and list the study and implementation of the concept of scientific development as a major task, he said.
