New-energy cars initiates first step toward industrialization
font size

With four years' effort China has independently developed its own electrical vehicles at scratch and initiated the first step toward industrialization. According to experts, hybrid cars will make debut in the market by the end of this year, and by the end of the Eleventh Five Year new-energy-powered cars featuring hybrid powers and various fuels will see a wave of industrialization.

So far, China's independently developed hybrid power cars can save over 30 percent of fuel. The twenty hybrid-power buses developed by Dongfeng Motor have been put to operation in Wuhan. The hybrid-power passenger cars developed by FAW have been off the assembly line. The hybrid cars of Dongfeng Motor, Changan Automobile, Chery and FAW will be released into the market in 2006.
