font size

Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi Tuesday announced the long-waited reshuffle of the Cabinet, repositioning several cabinet ministers.

Badawi made the announcement Tuesday afternoon on Malaysia's television, replacing Tourism Minister Leo Michael Toyad with Tenoku Adnan Tenoku Mansor.

Deputy Information Minister Zainuddin Maidin was promoted to the post of information minister to fill the vacancy left by Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir, who resigned earlier on Tuesday.

Home Affairs Minister Azmi Khalid was shifted to the post of minister of natural resources and environment, replacing Adenan Satem.
