Russia, Iran end talks on uranium enrichment
font size

The talks between Russia and Iran on Moscow's offer to host Iran's uranium enrichment on Russian territory ended on Tuesday, the RIA Novosti news agency reported.

The negotiations started on Monday in the Kremlin but moved to the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday with the participation of experts, including those from the Russian Federal Atomic Energy Agency.

The talks concluded with no word on their outcome but an agreement to keep negotiation. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was quoted by the Itar-Tass news agency as saying he "would not use the terms 'failure' or 'ill success' to describe the results of the talks before they end."

The Iranian Embassy in Moscow said in a statement that the Iranian delegation is leaving Moscow for home.
