The booming Jiangsu Province in east China exported 29.01 million mobile phones last year, or 1.19 billion U.S. dollars worth, representing a year-on-year growth of 240 percent and 30 percent, respectively.

Local customs house said that of the total exports, 28.04 million, or 96.7 percent, were sold abroad in the processing trade.

Most of the products were exported to Singapore, Brazil and the United States.

However, the export price decreased drastically, by 61.7 percent, to stand at 41.1 U.S. dollars a unit on average, the customs house added.
