Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met on Thursday with a delegation of the Ethiopia People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF).

The two sides exchanged views on further developing the Sino-Ethiopian ties and deepening China-Africa cooperation, according to a press release.

Wang briefed the guests on socialist system with Chinese characteristics and the current drive of "constructing a new socialist countryside" in China.

The delegation leader, Bereket Simon, who is in charge of EPRDF foreign affairs, said the current China visit provided them with valuable experience and information on its development.

He appreciated the sincere long-term help China has offered his country.
