Authors of articles, music and animations will hopefully receive fees from websites when their works get published. Websites will not enjoy their free "meal" in the future, officials with the Internet Copyright League of Internet Society of China said.
The League will hold meetings to discuss the prices for text, music, and movie carried on Internet and will set forth indicative price.
The league plans to form an Internet copyright violation reporting system. Via salons held irregularly, the league members will exchange information about copyright violation cases. It will inform copyright violation information to enterprises concerned so as to lower the number of lawsuits, and help to form a quick handling mechanism for Internet copyright violation.
The Internet Copyright League of Internet Society of China was founded on Jan 28, 2005. A total of 103 entities have signed Self-disciplinary Convention on the Network Copyright on the Internet of China. The number will increase to 300 this year.
