Two car bomb blasts rocked Baghdad on Wednesday and one of them killed five people and wounded 10 others, a police source told Xinhua.
"One car bomb detonated beside a traffic police center in the eastern New Baghdad district, killing five and wounding 10," the source said.
"Another car bomb attacked a police patrol in eastern Baghdad, but no word of casualties has come yet," he added.
The two attacks came less than an hour after the trial of former Iraqi president and his seven aides resumed in a Baghdad court.
Sectarian tensions have soared in Iraq since the Feb. 22 bombing of the Golden Mosque, one of the holiest Shiite mosques.
