Macao CE postpones visit to Thailand, Vietnam
font size

Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), has postponed his visit to Thailand and Vietnam, local media reported Wednesday.

Macao Post Daily quoted sources from the government as saying that the two-nation tour which was slated from March 19 to 24, was postponed due to "the current political situation" in Thailand.

The Thai government has informed the MSAR government of the busy schedule of the top officials in Bangkok, who are busy preparing for the April elections, the sources told the newspaper.

The visit to the two nations might possibly take place later this year with no new schedule having been clinched, the sources were cited.
