The arrival of Russian fighter planes for aerial acrobatics over the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in central China's Hunan Province has been postponed until Wednesday, one day later than the designated date.
More than 500 reporters from both home and abroad have rushed to the performance site in the park, which is famous for its natural water-eroded cave, known as Heavenly Gate Mountain.
Russia's air force has dispatched 10 fighter planes for the aerobatics performance in Hunan, according to organizers of the activity, which is sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Government.
The Zhangjiajie region has been plagued by lingering foggy and rainy weather for the past week. However, sunshine broke out on Tuesday.
Liu Bing, deputy director of the local meteorological observatory, said that as long as the visibility is above 8 km, the performance planned for March 17 to 19 would not be hampered by bad weather.
