British Prime Minister Tony Blair is to pay a state visit to Indonesia later this month to increase bilateral trade and investment, an Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesman said here Friday.

"(Blair) is to meet with the president of Indonesia. His agenda is mainly on the increasing of economic ties and investment," said spokesman Destra Percaya.

He added that Blair may also meet with other top officials according to the schedule.
