Chrysler recalls 268,800 vehicles to replace wiper motor
font size

DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler Group announced on Monday that it is recalling 268,800 vehicles to replace a faulty front windshield wiper motor.

The company said that these vehicles are from the 2005-2006 model years, including the Dodge Durango, Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan, and the wiper motor armature shaft on these vehicles can break, resulting in a loss of wiper function. However, no accidents or injuries have been reported as yet related to the problem.

Chrysler Group said it had notified the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the voluntary recall and owners of these vehicles will be notified when parts are available.
