As "the Face of the Festival 2006," British super model Lily Cole added glamor to the annual Singapore Fashion Festival, which kicked off at Ngee Ann City on Friday night.

Born in Torbay, England, the 18-year-old girl will appear in a number of high-profile collection shows including the Jean Paul Gaultier and Loreal Paris show as well as that for Singapore's designer Ashley Isham, according to Channel NewsAsia report.

More than 30 international and local brands will present their Spring Summer collections in some 25 events during the 10-day festival.

New York shoe designer Beverly Feldman, late Italian shoe designer Salvatore Ferragamo's granddaughter Angelica Visconti, as well as regional models and celebrities from China and South Korea, are invited to the event.

Inaugurated in 2001, the Singapore Fashion Festival is jointly organized by the Singapore Tourism Board, America-based sports and lifestyle marketing and management company IMG Fashion, and Pico, a global event marketing company.
