Cyprus has taken its second gold medal in the 18th Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, local press reported on Friday.
The gold medalist was Andri Eleftheriou who clinched a 89 out of 100 score in women's skeet on Thursday.
So far Cyprus has collected five medals: two gold, one silver and two bronze, at the Games.
Louiza Theophanous, who also participated in Women's Skeet, ranked fifth. Kyriakos Ioannou won Wednesday the bronze medal in Men's High Jump with 2.23 meters.
On Monday Cyprus won three medals. The gold medal came in shooting during the men's skeet pairs with George Achilleos and Antonis Nicolaides clinching a 190 out of 200 score.
Louiza Theofanous and Andri Eleftheriou won a silver medal in the Shooting Women's Skeet Pairs event, scoring 88 out of 100.
Irodotos Georgallas won a bronze medal in the Gymnastics Artistic Men's Rings event.
Cyprus has sent a team of 43 athletes to the ongoing Commonwealth Games, competing in six sports: athletics, swimming, boxing, weightlifting, gymnastics and shooting from March 15-26.
