The special operation forces exhibition (SOFEX) opened in the Jordanian capital on Monday, with focus on fight against terrorism.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Jordanian Prime Minister and Defense Minister Marouf Bakhit called for international cooperation to prevent international terrorism.

This year's SOFEX, under the theme of "Counter-terrorism: United in the Fight Against a Common Enemy," attracted more than 7, 500 military and business visitors from 60 countries.

The SOFEX is the only special operation and homeland security exhibition held in the Middle East and North Africa, according to exhibition organizers.
