FIFA president Joseph Blatter said on Wednesday that he believed Germany was doing everything it could to host a successful World Cup.
Speaking at a soiree held in his honor, Blatter said: "I have no doubt that everything will be done from an organizational and logistical point of view which we in FIFA expect."
He defended the controversial marketing program that has been criticized as too stringent.
"This has all been agreed upon," he said, but added that one could talk about things if there were problems.
During the day Blatter visited the World Cup host city of Hamburg which he named a role model for football as a major trade center.
Blatter said the northern German port was a mediator between people and said that the sport of football aimed in a similar direction.
"Football is a good way to move closer together, to show team spirit and fairness," Blatter said.
Blatter came to Hamburg by invitation of the city's mayor Ole von Beust. Hamburg hosts five games at the June 9-July 9 World Cup in its World Cup stadium.
"We have a superb stadium for the World Cup. I am convinced that the millions of people who see the games in this stadium will remember the city forever," Blatter said.
