Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki played down the threat of UN sanctions, telling reporters on Thursday in Geneva that the Islamic republic is prepared for all possible scenarios surrounding the nuclear issue.
"We have readied ourselves to all possible conditions," Mottaki said, responding to a question on possible UN Security Council sanctions against Tehran over the nuclear issue.
He said, however, under the current conditions, the possibility of sanctions on Iran "does not exist".
The foreign minister was speaking to reporters after making a speech to a session of the Conference on Disarmament, which was held in the Palace of Nations.
