China raises railway cargo fee, fuel surcharge for domestic air travels
font size

China will raise its railway cargo fee and fuel surcharge for domestic air travel, sources with the National Development and Reform Commission said here Thursday.

Due to price fluctuations of kerosene, fuel surcharges will be boosted to 30 yuan from 20 yuan for domestic air travel below 800 kilometers and from 40 to 60 yuan for travels above 800 kilometers.

The price adjustment will be in effect from April 10 to October 10.

The railway cargo fee will be raised to 9.05 yuan from 8.61 yuan per ton every km from April 10 in order to ease the low price of railway cargo transport.
