China willing to promote China-Sudan relations
font size

China is willing to work with Sudan to develop their friendly cooperation, said Wang Zhaoguo, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), Friday.

China and Sudan enjoyed a long-standing friendship, said Wang in a meeting with visiting Sudanese Defense Minister Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein, adding the two nations cooperated well in various fields.

Wang said China appreciated the Sudanese government's adherence to the one-China policy, and was grateful for its firm support on major international issues, such as human rights.

Wang briefed the guests on China's domestic development and the Fourth Session of the 10th NPC.

Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein said the Sudanese government would maintain its stance on Taiwan and the one-China policy. He hoped to develop cooperation between the two countries and their defence forces.
