Police forces from Lubuskie Province in Poland will support German police forces in maintaining public security during this summer's Word Cup finals that starts on 9 June, the Polish Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
Polish forces will be responsible for traffic safety and security of trains, train stations and roads leading to the border check points.
Mariusz Kowalaszek from city of Zielona Gora Police Headquarters, told the Polish Press agency on Tuesday, that during the World Cup Polish -German joint police troops will also make rounds of patrol in city of Cottbus in eastern Germany, where some matches will be shown to the public on huge screens disposed in the city's center.
By now, it is sure that Polish police forces from Zielona Gora, Zary and Krosno (cities in western Poland, close to the German border) will assist German police forces in maintaining security during World Cup. Police forces specialized in preventing crowd trouble and with good command of German language from other regions of Poland are to participate in joint police troops.
