A representative of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) handed over copies of the photo album of last year's Sino-Russian joint military exercise to the Russian Embassy at a ceremony in Beijing Wednesday.

The album, which is entitled "Peaceful Mission -- 2005 Sino-Russian Joint Military Exercise", is a memory of the exercise jointly held by Chinese and Russian troops on Aug. 18-25, 2005.

The year 2006 has been made the Year of Russia in China. A series of activities are being held in the country to promote bilateral relations and exchanges between the two neighbors.
