Flights in Nepali international airport continue as usual

Domestic and international flights to and from Nepal's international airport continued as usual on Friday as the so-called general strike called by the seven political parties entered the second day, the Tribhuvan International Airport Civil Aviation Office said.

Air passengers did not have any difficulty reaching or leaving the airport as a result of the transportation service provided by the government-owned transport company Sajha Yatayat, the Nepal Tourism Board and Pre-paid Taxi, the office said.

As of 4:00 p.m. local time (1015 GMT), a total of 67 flights, including flights of private air service and the Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation took off to various destinations from the airport.

Likewise, in the international route, around 1,100 passengers left Kathmandu while 1,200 passengers arrived, according to the office.
