The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) said Sunday that it has arranged bus service for tourists and other passengers arriving at and departing from the Tribhuvan International Airport for the period of the general strike on April 6-9.

A statement issued by the NTB, a semi-governmental organization, said that a help desk has been set up at the airport to receive the passengers.

They will be escorted to their destinations through three different routes in the city, it said.

As many as three shuttle buses of NTB and four buses of Sajha Yatayat, a state-owned transport company, have been arranged for the service.

The service will be available from 6 a.m. (0015 GMT) until the last flight takes off from the airport, the statement said.

The Nepali government declared a day-long curfew on Saturday from 10 a.m. (0415 GMT) to 9 p.m. (0315 GMT) in the Nepali capital of Kathmandu Valley.

It imposed 13-hour curfew starting from 7:00 a.m. (0115 GMT) in the capital on Sunday.
