A group of 29 suspects, most of whom Moroccans, were charged Tuesday in Spain with links to the March 11, 2004 Madrid train bombings, in which 191 people were killed.

The charges were contained in a 1,500-page-long indictment, which was handed down by Juan del Olmo, an investigating magistrate at the National Court.

The suspects will stand trial set to last about one year.

Reports here say the actual trial may not start until early next year, given the complexity of the case and the number of people involved.

The March 11 bombing attacks killed 191 people and injured about 2,000 others, which was Spain's worst terrorist attack.
