Eleven Iraqis including six police personnel were injured in two separate bomb attacks in southern Baghdad on Wednesday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"An explosive charge went off at about 1:50 p.m. (0945 GMT) near a passing police patrol in Baghdad's Doura neighborhood, wounding five policemen," the source said on condition of anonymity.
"Separately, a makeshift bomb detonated at about 2:15 p.m. ( 1015 GMT) when a police patrol was passing by in Doura neighborhood, wounding a police officer and five Iraqi civilians," the source said.
Two police vehicles and several civilian cars were also damaged in the two attacks, he added.
Earlier in the day, five Iraqis, including two policemen, were killed in two separate attacks in Baghdad.
Insurgents often mount attacks on Iraqi police forces, accusing them of being collaborators with the U.S. occupation forces.
