font size

At least four worshippers were killed and four others wounded on Friday when two roadside bombs went off at two mosques in Iraq's northern city of Baquba, police sources said.

The sources said that the two bombs detonated after worshippers finished their Friday prayers.

The first bomb exploded at the Al-Aqsa mosque in Baquba, killing three people and injuring two others, said the sources.

In the second bombing at another mosque, one person was killed and two others wounded, the sources added.

Both the two targeted mosques were located in the center of the restive Baquba, some 65 km northeast of Baghdad.

No further details were revealed.
