Five bodies found in Baghdad
font size

Iraqi police found five bodies in the pools of a major sewage water treatment facility in Rustamiya area in southern Baghdad on Wednesday, a police source said.

The bodies seem to be tortured before shot in the head and the chest with their hands tied behind their backs, Captain Ahmed Abdullah told Xinhua.

Meanwhile, a roadside bomb struck a U.S. patrol in eastern Baghdad on Wednesday, wounding two people, he said.

"An improvised explosive device went off when a U.S. military convoy approached the building of the al-Dhilal Company, where buses line up to pick up passengers in eastern Baghdad," he said.

It was not clear whether the U.S. troops sustained any casualties as the U.S. soldiers cordoned off the area, Abdullah said.
