Born on April 21, 1926, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, Windsor Queen of Great Britain is the eldest daughter of King George VI, the fourth monarch of the House of Windsor. She received private education in the imperial palace, especially in the fields of history of constitution and law. She is very accomplished in terms of history, languages as well as music and she speaks French, Spanish and German.

She was trained in motor transport driving and maintenance in the Auxiliary Territorial Service late in World War II. Princess Elizabeth was engaged to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (Philip Mountbatten, formerly Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark) on July 9, 1949 and got married with him on Nov. 20.

She was proclaimed queen on 6 February 1952 following the death of her father, George VI.

Queen is the hereditary head of state in the Great Britain and also the highest official in 17 Common Wealth countries, such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc. Queen Elizabeth II is often on an inspection tour around her country, finding out about the whole situation of agriculture, industry and education as well.
