Roadside bomb kills three US soldiers in Iraq
font size

Three U.S. soldiers were killed in a roadside bomb attack on their vehicle northwest of Baghdad on Sunday, the U.S. military said in a statement.

The statement said that three soldiers died when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb at 11:30 am (0730 GMT), but it did not give further details.

Five U.S. soldiers were killed in two separate roadside bombings in south of Baghdad on Saturday.

The latest deaths have brought to at least 2,391 the number of U.S. military personnel killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003.
